  1.          MENU MASTER 2.12 UPGRADE
  2.          -----------------------------------------------------------------
  3.          If you are upgrading to Menu Master 2.12 from an earlier version,
  4.          this information will be helpful...
  5.  
  6.          TO UPGRADE
  7.          ----------
  8.          Simply copy the file MMPRG.EXE to your hard disk sub-directory,
  9.          replacing the older version.  Be sure that MENU.BAT also resides on
  10.          the same sub-directory.

  12.          MENU SETTINGS  (ignore if old version is higher than 1.50)
  13.          -------------
  14.          Version 2.12 writes its settings in a new format to a file named
  15.          MMSTR.STG.  Version 1.50 and earlier wrote to a file named
  16.          MENU.STG.  If you wish to preserve your old settings, don't delete
  17.          the MENU.STG file until you run Version 2.12 at least once.
  18.          Version 2.12 will read your old MENU.STG file and will save the
  19.          settings in the new format under MMSTR.STG.  After displaying
  20.          Version 2.12's menu one time, your old MENU.STG file is no longer
  21.          used or needed and may be deleted.

  23.          KEEPING IT SIMPLE
  24.          -----------------
  25.          The widespread acceptance of Menu Master is due largely to its
  26.          simplicity.  Most people like it because it is VERY easy for
  27.          inexperienced users to handle and it's quick and easy for experts
  28.          as well.  Many registered users have sent in suggestions for
  29.          improvements or new features and many of these ideas have been
  30.          included in Version 2.12.  However, every effort has been made to
  31.          keep it simple, as you will readily see.

  33.          NEW FEATURES OF VERSION 2.12  (as compared to Version 1.50)
  34.          ----------------------------
  35.          Here is a partial list of the improvements and new features:
  36.  
  37.          - Up to 24 Menu Items per menu. (previously 12)
  38.          - Up to 7 Command Lines per Menu Item. (previously 2)
  39.          - Display up to 3 lines of customized On-Screen Notes.  This
  40.                 feature is a good way to provide special instructions for
  41.                 persons using your system.
  42.          - Improved method of changing Menu Display Colors.  Each Menu
  43.                 Prompt can now have its own color.
  44.          - System Password can Protect:   1 - Escaping to DOS
  45.                                           2 - Modifying Menu Settings
  46.                                           3 - Changing Screen Colors
  47.                                           4 - Editing On-Screen Notes
  48.          - Individual Password Protection of Menu Selections.
  49.          - Optional turn-off of the Date/Time display.
  50.          - Option to TOTALLY blank the screen after 3 minutes of inactivity
  51.                 to protect your screen.
  52.          - Menu can reside on ANY sub-directory - not just the root
  53.                 directory.
  54.          - Faster menu display.
  55.          - Easier than ever before to set up multiple menus.

  57.          Version 2.11 fixed a minor bug found in 2.10.
  58.  
  59.          Version 2.12 no longer echos passwords to the screen when
  60.          entered.  This keeps someone from learning your password by
  61.          watching over your shoulder.  All other features are essentially
  62.          the same as Versions 2.10 and 2.11.
